In 2018 and 2019, I served as co-chair and co-founder of HELLA ASIAN, a live storytelling event amplifying Asian American and Pacific Islander voices in the Bay Area. This 250-person event was produced as a fundraiser for the Asian American Journalists Association, San Francisco Bay Area chapter, and we successfully raised nearly $20,000 combined for local journalism scholarships and professional development grants.
